Terminal Guide
This guide covers the terminal workflow at a high level: search → analyze → interpret compliance → track watchlist.

Workflow overview
- Find a symbol (search/autocomplete).
- Read compliance status + reasons/ratios.
- Analyze chart + context (timeframes, volatility, trend).
- Decide (or add to watchlist for later).
If a result is borderline or conflicting, go deeper: Methodology · Research
Symbol search (fast)
- Use autocomplete to avoid typos and to discover related instruments.
- Prefer a consistent symbol format per exchange when comparing.
- If you have an ISIN, try resolving it (when supported) to the trading symbol.
Charts (what to look at)
Charts show market behavior—not compliance. Use them to understand timing and risk.
- Timeframe alignment: zoom out first, then zoom in.
- Volatility: big swings can affect market-cap denominators in some methodologies.
- Regime awareness: avoid overfitting short windows.
Compliance panel (how to read)
- Start with the headline status (compliant/questionable/non-compliant).
- Read the reasons and check which ratio failed (if any).
- If “questionable”, treat it as “review required” (often a data-quality or classification issue).
Watchlists & routines
Use watchlists to avoid impulsive decisions and to create a repeatable review routine.
- Keep separate lists: “Candidates”, “Watch for compliance drift”, “Earnings soon”.
- Re-check compliance after earnings or major price moves.
- Document your rationale (especially for borderline cases).
Troubleshooting
- No result / missing data: the symbol might not be covered or financial inputs are unavailable.
- Conflicting results vs another app: compare denominators and data freshness.
- Something looks wrong: use feedback widget with evidence (filings/links).
